ABOUT TEAM BASS
Team Bass held it's first meeting in October of 1989 at the Players Inn in Davison Michigan. Nine people were present to sign the attendance sheet. On the 13th of the same month the original charter constitution was devised. The purpose of the club was the focus, as the members put into writing: "To stimulate public awareness of bass fishing as a major sport. To offer our state conservation department organized moral and political support and encouragement. To promote full adherence to all conservation codes and water quality guidelines. To detect and report any polluter and call public and political attention to his/her crime. To improve our skills as bass anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange of expert bass catching techniques and ideas. To promote and encourage youth fishing. To function as a dynamic and effective link with other chapters embracing the principles and purpose of the Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society."
Their dedication and camaraderie laid the groundwork for an organization whose name reflects the very principle on which was founded: "Team" Bass. |
