Text Box: The 9th Annual Team Bass Charity Tournament turned into another big hit. 54 teams showed up to battle for the first place prize of $2000. 54 boats is the largest participation we have had in our nine years. The team of Scott Anderson and Randy Lonsway were the big winners with a total of six fish weighing 18.03 pounds. They almost made it a clean sweep with their largest fish weighing 4.07 pounds falling just shy of the big bass of the day. The big bass award, which included $540, went to Team Plivelich with a 4.16 pound bass. That’s over $129 per pound!! Second place went to Pfieffer and Paetz for 6 fish weighing 16.10 pounds. The team of Bala and Bala managed to place third place with just 5 fish that weighed 14.92 pounds. In case you didn’t notice the nifty first place trophies in the picture above, they were provided by Bill McElroy. You might recognize his Scales and Tales drawings from some major fishing publications. Bill was kind enough to create plaques for the first place team, the big bass award, and another for a raffle prize. Thanks Bill. While we are giving out thanks, thank you to all who participated. As always, a portion of the money earned will go to The Hurley Pediatric Burn Unit in conjunction with The Children’s Miracle Network.
